You eat RAW broccoli?? I can't handle that. I didn't like it raw when I was eating cooked.

I love it in moderation! It's deeeeeeeelish! I loved it raw when I was eating cooked... =-)

Personal taste still governs us. Raw broccoli is okay on occasion, I guess, but I still wouldn't seek it out. It's a cruciferous vegetable which needs to be cooked to be digestible.

Not really! You can simply marinate it in lemon or lime juice overnight... the acid from the citrus breaks down the hard-to-digest fibers of the cruciferous vegetable making it more easily digestible... and nice and soft!! =-)

Yeah, I have never been super-fond of broccoli, but I always liked it much better raw.

Thanks for this thread. Just ordered my 80-10-10 book, so looking for some ideas while I wait for it to arrive.

Loved the tomato-peach soup I jotted down from someone else's copy and may experiment with that as a dressing as well. Peach time winding down here in the D.C. area, unfortunately.

Inspired,
Caryn

Hi, Caryn, and welcome to the forum!

I don't remember the tomato peach soup except for one time I substituted peaches for mango when I was out. I hate it when the season of fresh locally grown comes to an end...

That's funny, Tommie as I copied it down as tomato peach and noted that you can sub the mango  Smiley. I haven't been wild about tomato-mango dressing or even mango smoothies for some reason even though I enjoy eating them. But always worth trying again as tastes change! Best to you! Caryn

I like apple cider vinegar, it's my standby! But I also love this garlic dressing.

Shouldn't that last recipe be moved to the Sumptious feasts, as the Olive Oil isn't optimal for 80/10/10?

It sounds good, but I can't do salt at all (my blood pressure is very sensitive) and the olive oil isn't a whole food and is a 'feast' food. Cheesy
